Hi..........Sorry I was travelling and just returned to Athens. Yes the fires are over thank goodness, but we get them every year. How are you? How are things in Kenya? I feel very nice to have you as a friend and hope that you are well and happy. kisses
Nice to hear from you. What are you doing at the moment and how is it in Kenya. I have swedish fiend that is staying in Kenya right now, but I have never been there myself. At the moment I am living in Kathmandu in Nepal and I am working for a web company here.
I agree with you that in order to to do somthing good for the future we need to have contact with many people from all over the world to learn more from each other. Thats the best way to develope compassion and lessen our self intressts wich I think is absolutly nessesary in order to face all tha problems in the world.
You also need to understand that people are in veryn different time zones here. So you may not hear from people till the next day - or later than that if they don't happen to visit here for a few days and their notification settings are set so they are not disturbed by emails from the group.
Hi Edward. I think that the best way to find friends here is to let people know a bit more about you and what you are doing, and then they will start talking and becoming interested. I think you mentioned on Facebook that you are starting a Trust in Kenya to help with sustainable rural development, and that you are particularly concerned about the 'Water Towers' of Kenya and how they are being depleted, causing the potential of widespread suffering. Why not start a discussion on these things. Relationships start with tha acknowledgment of mutual interests. If you just go to people and say 'hi', you are still a stranger to them!
Good luck. This is a community of wonderful people, as you will see.
